REVIEW:   Excellent product and far superior to any of the common toilets found in most homes . My only complaint : it does not self clean well which I would attribute to the low amount of water during flush cycle. Otherwise it is very quiite and fast filling.

REVIEW:   Well, ok, I'm not exactly a toilet connoiseur. We remodeled our bathroom in 1994, the very year the odious low-flow toilet law took effect, and our lovely new American Standard was not only un-improved technology, but low-profile to allow the tank to fit under a counter. We soon became VERY well-acquainted with the plunger, and suffered with this pitiful excuse for a toilet for more than 13 years. That said, I TOTO-ly love this toilet! I installed it myself 4 days ago, so there's a touch of pride contributing to the elation, but it's almost like having a new car! Hubby looked at it skeptically, opining that it LOOKED just like the old one, but I pointed out the differences I could see, assuring him it was engineered way better. Still, I wasn't prepared for the amazing difference in the way it flushes. No bowl fill-up or vortex, just a modest floop, and the whole s***-load is gone! And as the person who also CLEANS the darn thing, I have observed that even the seat is designed in such a way that it, uh, is harder to get dirty. It's comfortable enough, but sort of funnels the stuff in the right direction. You'd have to have lived with a quick-dirtying seat (and cleaned it constantly) to appreciate this difference! I have no other toilet installations under my belt to compare this to, but I can't picture it being easier unless the fixture were lighter-weight. Yeah, it's grungy work that pre-supposes you can handle a wrench and screwdriver and follow written directions, but I did my homework, purchased a Fernco wax-free seal (which is another rave review in itself), and enlisted Hubby for the grunt work of positioning. Considering the expense of hiring a plumber, I'd definitely do it again.
